New InterWrite
Software Adds More Functionality to Enhance Meeting and Teaching
Environments
December 12, 2002–GTCO CalComp, Inc. announced today the release of
Version 3.30 of their InterWrite software, for use with their
interactive whiteboard products. InterWrite software is a key element of
the popular MeetingBoard, MeetingPad, SchoolBoard
and SchoolPad products from GTCO
CalComp, enabling users to control meetings, lessons and presentations
from anywhere in the room. Support for serial, USB, wireless and
Bluetooth™ connectivity is provided.
“InterWrite software is designed to be the most intuitive and
user-friendly annotation software on the market,” said Rob Meissner,
Vice President of Marketing for GTCO Calcomp. “InterWrite Version 3.30
demonstrates again our commitment to continue to provide greater
capabilities and more powerful annotation tools, while still delivering
the ease-of-use that our customers expect.”
New features of InterWrite 3.30 include:
 |
Freehand
Text Recognition enables you to draw freehand letters
that are automatically converted into text and inserted into any
application. |
 |
Capture
Button enables you to capture a window, part of the
screen or the full screen. The captured image can be added to the
current annotation page or to a new page. |
 |
Increased
annotation options—You can select any pen color for 12
of the 16 pen choices. The largest width for the eraser tool can
now be one-tenth the width of the screen. |
 |
Simpler
connection to Bluetooth Boards and Pads—The Device
Manager will now automatically scan for and connect Bluetooth
devices at start-up. In addition, a new menu item has been added
in the Device Manager to discover and connect all devices,
including Bluetooth ones. |
 |
Image
Selection Tool shows thumbnails of all saved images and
lets you select the image you want to view. |
 |
Enhanced
annotation editing capability—Annotations can now be
grouped and ungrouped, and the stacking order of the annotations
can also be changed. Also, users can now select an object and
change its attributes (color, width). |
