InterWrite™
Recognizes “Champion Schools” in New Zealand
40 Schools in New Zealand set for day of intense training, collaboration
and award recognition by InterWrite’s Authorized Distributor, Sitech
Systems
Columbia, Md. – December 4, 2006 - GTCO CalComp, Inc., manufacturer of
the InterWrite Interactive Classroom products, is pleased to announce
that its authorized InterWrite distributor, Sitech Systems, will be
hosting 40 Sitech Champion Schools on December 5th in Hamilton, New
Zealand. These 40 Champion Schools have been selected as the most
innovative schools in New Zealand because of their use of technology in
the classroom – especially the InterWrite SchoolBoard and InterWrite
SchoolPad. The December 5th event will introduce the award-winning
InterWrite PRS RF student response system to these schools with training
and collaboration sessions to help integrate this exciting technology
into their teaching practices. The day will end with a special awards
ceremony recognizing the unique efforts of these schools and their use
of InterWrite products.
“As a leading innovator in interactive educational products, we are very
excited to bring the latest in student response systems – InterWrite PRS
RF to New Zealand,” said Rob Meissner, vice president of marketing at
GTCO CalComp. “Our popular InterWrite PRS system has revolutionized how
students learn in schools and universities around the globe, and in
working with the Sitech Systems Champion Schools Program we look forward
to having the same impact in New Zealand.”
Teachers from 40 Champion Schools will gather in Hamilton to spend a day
familiarizing themselves with the new technology, as well as sharing
their experiences of how the InterWrite SchoolBoard and SchoolPad has
revolutionized their teaching. Several InterWrite employees, including
executive staff and product trainers, will be flying from the United
States to lead the roll out of this new technology across the New
Zealand education sector. After the training day, Sitech Systems will
provide ongoing support as the teachers return to their schools. This
ground-breaking project will culminate in a series of case studies and
best practices that will be shared throughout New Zealand and around the
world.
