Expands Production Capacity 400 Percent to Accommodate Rapid Growth
Company adds 54,000 square feet with the completion of three new
buildings at its Scottsdale, Ariz. Business Park facility
Columbia, MD – September 5, 2006 - GTCO CalComp announces that it has
completed construction on three new buildings in Scottsdale, Arizona
creating the GTCO CalComp Business Park. GTCO CalComp’s Arizona-based
operations will initially occupy 35,000 square feet of the total 54,000
new square footage. With the new space and other recently implemented
manufacturing enhancements, GTCO CalComp has completed its two-year plan
to increase its production capacity by 400 percent in Arizona. The
expanded Scottsdale, Arizona location will house the Company’s software
engineering team, and west coast manufacturing, administrative, and
customer support centers. GTCO CalComp utilizes a global supplier and
logistics network to optimize manufacturing processes and meet customer
demand. All GTCO CalComp production facilities are ISO 9001:2000
certified and have been ISO certified since June 1993 in order to
provide the highest quality product to customers in over 95 countries.
The Company continues to expand its facilities and increase its
production capabilities to meet the growing demand for its award-winning
interactive technologies – including the InterWrite-branded interactive
whiteboards, wireless Bluetooth tablets, and audience response systems.
