InterWrite MeetingBoard Now Offers Even More Versatility

August 20, 2001- GTCO CalComp, Inc. announced today an extension of their InterWrite MeetingBoard line of electronic whiteboards with the release of a smaller 50” InterWrite MeetingBoard. Like the 70” MeetingBoard products, the 50” MeetingBoard is a sophisticated, high-tech whiteboard designed to allow professionals to increase the effectiveness of meetings in the shortest amount of time. With the most intuitive software on the market, professionals can maximize their meeting productivity with little or no product training.

The InterWrite MeetingBoard offers a dynamic and fully interactive way for presenters to engage their audience. Featuring three powerful modes of operation, professionals can select the best way to conduct their meetings, brainstorming sessions, collaborative discussions and education. Interactive mode is the most impressive way to use the board. It allows presenters to connect a computer and LCD projector, project any Windows application on the board and enjoy complete control of the meeting information. With the system’s electronic pens, the presenter uses the intuitive InterWrite Software (included with purchase) to write, draw or highlight key points, or they can operate their application in true mouse mode. Interactive mode allows users to annotate and change projected images using the system’s intelligent electronic pens. The modified presentations can be saved and then sent to participants in a self-executing file, eliminating the distraction of note-taking. PC Whiteboard mode allows any PC to digitally capture notations, drawings or handwriting made with dry erase markers. The electronic pens house dry erase markers and transmit the colors of the markers being used to the PC, keeping the record of changes in their accurate colors. Notes are saved by pressing a single button, for true convenience and simplicity. PC Copyboard mode captures the notations from the whiteboard and sends them directly to a connected printer without the need for a PC. Notes can immediately be distributed making sure that everyone is on the same page before they even leave the meeting.

The MeetingBoard offers the most advanced technology in whiteboard products, including very high resolution for fine lines and drawings, high tracking speed suitable for handwriting applications, an easy to understand user interface, and a superior writing surface.
