GTCO CalComp Announces InterWrite Educator’s Resource Center

Free online community provides interactive classroom tools

COLUMBIA, MD – January 26, 2005 - GTCO CalComp announced today the launch of its Educator’s Resource Center (www.educatorsresourcecenter.com) for the InterWrite School Suite product family. The Educator’s Resource Center (ERC) is a free online community where educators can find hundreds of InterWrite lessons and activities, over a 1,000 curriculum appropriate images and background templates, video tutorials and live online training sessions (via WebEx) to learn more about the capability of InterWrite and PRS software, an online forum to share their ideas with other educators, and links to other valuable on-line educational resources.

The interactive lessons and activities available in the Educator’s Resource Center have been created by GTCO CalComp teachers and teachers around the world and cover a wide range of age groups and subject areas including math, language arts/literacy, geography, and science. These lessons have been created in InterWrite software and are fully editable, allowing teachers to add or modify them to suit their particular teaching needs. The lessons and activities are grouped by subject and age level for easy searching.

Also included in the ERC are online tutorials and live online training sessions for InterWrite and PRS software. The video tutorials provide easy-to-follow guides for teachers just learning to use InterWrite and PRS software or experienced users seeking assistance on some of the advanced features. For further assistance, educators may also sign up for one of the live online training sessions conducted via WebEx for either InterWrite or PRS software.
